Treasure Hunt Maker
Set a reading level and the rooms in your house, get clue cards for a treasure hunt.
A treasure hunt is the one time a child will read every word on a card because the next clue depends on it. You pick the reading level, list the rooms or places (fridge, under the bed, the letterbox, the library corner) and set the number of clues. Out comes a set of clue cards in order, each one a short riddle written at that level, plus a treasure certificate for the end. Print on A4, cut the cards, hide them and hand over the first one. Works in a classroom as well, for a birthday, a rainy day or the last day of term.
