Memory Match Maker

Type a topic or word list, get pairs of picture and word cards for a memory game.

Memory is the game kids ask for, and it is a quiet way to practise words without it feeling like practice. Name a topic or drop in a word list, then say how many pairs you want. Back come card sheets with a picture card and a matching word card for every pair, every card with the same back so nobody can cheat. Cut them out and lay them face down. It works for phonics words, a second language, animal names or the class spelling list. Twelve pairs suits the younger ones; twenty makes a real game for older kids.
